The most beautiful beaches in Sardinia.

Now that  it is safe to travel  to Italy, we advise you to take advantage of the beauty of the Italian regions and set off in complete safety to discover our beautiful country ... what are you waiting for?

Cala Mariolu, Baunei (NU)

Let's start our article on the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia between the grandiose cliffs overlooking the sea and the blue-lapped rocks of Cala Mariolu.

The name of this tropical charm paradise derives from the presence of the monk seal, which, it is said, "stole" the catch from the nets of fishermen coming from Ponza, therefore it was called il  mariolo  (thief).

One of the pearls of the Gulf of Orosei, this one, accessible from the ground only through a challenging trek in the middle of the dense Mediterranean scrub and characterized by the shallow bottom of white pebbles and pink sand at times (this is why it was baptized " is pùligi de nie", ie "the snow fleas"), one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy where you can spend unforgettable moments!

Cala Spinosa, Santa Teresa Gallura (SS).

You arrive here after having covered steep paths, but the wait and the effort will be rewarded. Sheltered by granite rock ridges, this wonderful beach in the northern part of Capo Testa, near the mythical guardian lighthouse of the Strait of Bonifacio, is one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia… it will drive you crazy, we are sure!

A small secret cove just for you, in which to take a refreshing bath in waters of a thousand shades, from cobalt blue to emerald. The boulders of rock lap this lonely stretch of coast and make Cala Spinosa one of the most interesting points of the coast for scuba diving lovers. What else to add… don't forget to bring your mask and fins!

Cala Coticcio, Caprera, La Maddalena (SS).

A beach of fine white sand, a sea of a thousand turquoise shades and splendid pink rock sculptures among which juniper, cistus and mastic plants grow.

No, it is not a dream: it is Cala Coticcio, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia located north-east of the island of Caprera, in front of the Murru rock!

The islandit is also known historically, because Garibaldi spent the last 26 years of his life there, so, once here, don't forget to take a trip to the Garibaldi Compendium, where you can visit the Memorial and the White House, his residence.

Nature and history await you, what are you waiting for to dive into the natural pool of the "Sardinian Tahiti"? You can reach it by sea with boats that organize excursions in the archipelago or by land, through a partly dirt path-trekking.

 Tuerredda beach, Teulada (SU).

A paradisiacal cove that stretches for over half a kilometer between Capo Malfatano and Capo Spartivento, in the territory of Teulada, for a small universe of peace in which to forget the frenzy of the city: Tuerredda Beach is the ideal place for relaxing swims, thanks to its crystal clear sea, with temperatures that are always quite high.

Right in front of the beach, the islet of the same name can be reached by swimming in a few minutes and is a pearl also for its vegetation: the interior is covered with grazing and fragrant scrub.

To reach it, take the panoramic view of the Costa del Sud (provincial road 71), for 25 km of breathtaking scenery.

After the crossroads for Perdalonga, the enchanting expanse of sand will appear from above, for a special postcard view. Only note: to preserve it it has become alimited number !

La Pelosa, Stintino (SS).

Protected by the natural barrier of the stacks of Capo Falcone, by the Piana island and by the Asinara, which surround it, La Pelosa is one of the most beautiful beaches in all of Sardinia.

Located near Stintino , it stands out for its backdrops with colors so bright and alive that they seem painted. In front of the beach is the islet with the Aragonese tower of La Pelosa, dating back to 1578 and which should give the area its name.

In fact, more popularly the area seems to be named for its strange vegetation in the shape of long, thin tufts. Obviously being very well known, it is usually crowded, especially in the high season months.

Visiting it in September could be the right solution to stay away from crowds and stress.
