Hiking in Liguria: Punta Marguareis under which it develops one of the most extensive karst systems in Italy.

  From Carnino Superiore (1397) take the easy trail to Rifugio Don Barbera direct and follow it until just over Ciucchea Pian (1656).

At an altitude of 1724 off to the right the trail to the Col du Pas (pole indicator).

The track climbs steeply and with numerous curves reach the Passo delle Mastrelle (2023), gateway to the Basin Piaggia Bella under which it develops one of the most extensive karst systems in Italy. In view of the steering wheel-Hut Saracco you leave the direct route to the Col du Pas and turn left on the comeback trail, heading west, the steep gorge to the pass between Cima and liguria mapCima Bozano Palu (Palu Colle or Step the Goats, 2520).

After passing a short stretch slightly exposed (EE), it cuts across the southern slope of Cima Bozano by reaching a large sinkhole near the large hill of Turin's (2450). From the hill you go up first to the left, then turn right and climb up on the last crags to the summit of Punta Marguareis (2651).

On the way down the trail that runs along the southern ridge of the mountain faithfully (some parts EE) to the Passo della Gaina (2357). From here descend to the new Shelter Don Barbera (2070) located just below the Herrenkohlern (2112). Finally, take the good path that, through the pasture of saddles Carnino and the Gorge Chiusetta (1815), leads to Carnino Superior.
