Know of Puglia and Gargano National Park, one of the largest protected areas in Italy.

Gargano National Park is a park located opposite Mount Italian Gargano.

It was instituted by Article 34 of the law of December 6, 1991 n. 394.
It spans 118,144 hectares (one of the largest protected areas) and makes the Apulia region.

They are part of the park the Tremiti Archipelago (marine reserve).
garganomapIn this park, which is biologically an island, there are several interesting places to see, as the Foresta Umbra, with many different species of trees, the Arcipelago delle Tremiti (San Domino, San Nicola and Capraia), caves and rock formations, a necropolis Early Christian and many other interesting sites.

Among all possible routes, there are two very special: I Giardini di arance, and "Alla scoperta delle orchidee": in this park is 64% of the orchid species that exist in Europe.
